Better known for modernizing the tourism industry of Mexico, Daniel Jesus Chavez Moran is a former top businessman responsible for founding ‘The Vidanta Group’ in 1974. Moran came from Guadalajara and is now a renowned property developer in Mexico. Not only is he running multiple operations but Moran is also responsible for about 10000 workers.
You should know though that before Moran started his humanitarian works, he was a well known businessman in Mexico. In 1974, he graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Moran was able to set up the Paraiso Mazatlan Resort when he was 22 and this was his first ever development project.
He spent 30 years focusing on Grupo Vidanta before he started thinking about living a philanthropic life. He founded the Grupo Vidanta Foundation, a non-profit organization, in 2005, committed to promote better social development in Latin America. The thing about this organization is that they are making an effort to teach people about culture and social science while addressing social injustices along the way.
Economic improvement is something that Moran is optimistic about when it comes to Latin America. The economy is something that Moran has not been fond of for so many years. Even if they have the ability to succeed, more often than not Latin America falls behind compared to other countries.
Daniel Chavez Moran believed that his business expertise and leadership through his foundation can make an impact with the necessary change to make Mexico and other neighboring countries flourish in the 21st century. Considering the poor performances of Latin American countries, the Vidanta Foundation wants to know exactly why this is happening. According to Moran, one of the many things that can be attributed to this is the rise of inequality.
In this case, you are not only dealing with political inequalities. Inequality in income is perhaps the most damaging because many people can’t hold jobs that are needed by international companies in these modern times. Also, there are some places that fail to offer the right kind of education that lead to productivity.
Due to this, there is a lack of jobs for people who are considered unskilled. According to Moran, one of the things that have to be improved if people want the economy to improve is the quality of education. In terms of employment, even if a Latino is educated, most of the time, Asians are the ones who are hired to fill job vacancies.
Chavez Moran firmly believes that all these inequalities and social issues need to change. Providing quality education should be at the top of the list of legislators. As much as possible, education should not be taken for granted.
When it comes to Latin America though, there is still hope. For instance, Brazil has been fast rising in terms of economic profile, hosting the 2014 World Cup and the Summer Olympics in 2016. Moran remains optimistic when it comes to these actions.
For Daniel Chavez Moran philanthropy is something that is worth undertaking as it means you are doing something to help others out in a significant manner. If you take a look at his actions, you will see the value that he puts on humanitarian work. With Moran's assistance, it is also possible for the Vidanta Foundation to collaborate with other countries to achieve a better tomorrow for Latin America. Check out danielchavezmoran.com
